Poem translation: “To This Day”
- Read one stanza of the poem at a time.
- Discuss with your partner what you think each part means.
- Look up any new or unfamiliar words.
- Pay attention to figures of speech.
- Write your ideas/translation in the margins.
- Share thoughts as a class and listen to each other’s ideas.
Today’s HW:
1. Read 30 pages in a book of your choice and log in agenda: title, pages read, summary, and parent’s signature.
2. Write “Dream/Future” poem or poems.
