- Agenda, open to last night’s reading
- Language Arts spiral and green folder from bin
- Local News and other book(s) to read
You should be in your seat reading or updating your green folder by the second bell.
Per. 1 – Reading/Writing Workshop (8:15-9:42)
- 30 minutes of independent reading
- Today you will read the story “Trick or Treating” by Gary Soto in preparation for your reading assessment tomorrow.
How can I start using more Academic Language in my speaking and writing?

How can I elaborate in my personal narrative/memoir story?
Today’s HW:
1. Read 30 minutes a day and log in agenda: Title, pages read, 1-2 sentence summary, parent signature.
2. Copy second draft of memoir story onto loose paper to turn in and be ready to share tomorrow.
