Wednesday 2/3/16 Language Arts

Per. 2 – (8:15-9:42)

Take out:

  • AVT book
  • Agenda, open to last week’s reading
  • “Raymond’s Run” story and Story Map

 

What is a factor?

  • AVT Teach: factor, p. 50

How can we use details from a story to make inferences about a character?

Re-read “Raymond’s Run”

  • Find details that reveal something about the main character, Squeaky
  • Record notes about the character on sheet
  • Pay attention to clues at the beginning, middle, and end of story
  • Does Squeaky change in any way? How?
  • Write character paragraph

Share Persuasive Essays

 

Homework: 

  1. Read 30 minutes (25+ pages) and log in agenda: Title, pages read, 2-sentence summary, parent signature. 
  2. Do AVT p. 50-51 and be ready to share sentences tomorrow.
