- Agenda, open to last week’s reading
- “Raymond’s Run” story and Story Map
What is a factor?
- AVT Teach: factor, p. 50
How can we use details from a story to make inferences about a character?
Re-read “Raymond’s Run”
- Find details that reveal something about the main character, Squeaky
- Record notes about the character on sheet
- Pay attention to clues at the beginning, middle, and end of story
- Does Squeaky change in any way? How?
- Write character paragraph
Share Persuasive Essays
Homework:
- Read 30 minutes (25+ pages) and log in agenda: Title, pages read, 2-sentence summary, parent signature.
- Do AVT p. 50-51 and be ready to share sentences tomorrow.
