Per. 1 – Writing (8:15-9:42)

Take out:

• 2 pens or pencils

SBAC Language Arts Performance Task Day 2

• Read directions for your task carefully
• Review sources and your notes from yesterday.
• Plan your writing (this should take at least 20 minutes)
• Write your draft (this should take at least 60 minutes)
• If you have time today (although you shouldn’t), reread the task directions again, then read your writing as if someone else wrote it. Revise, edit and proofread again.
• Do not submit your test. You still have tomorrow to reread, revise, and edit some more. This needs to be the best piece of writing you have done all year.

Homework: 

1. Read 30 minutes (30+ pages) and log in agenda: Title, pages read, 2-sentence summary, parent signature.
2. Watsons chapter drawings due Friday!
