Good Morning, Class!

Per. 2 (8:15-9:42)

Please take out:

  • Computer and “Face Your Fears” paragraph (if not on the computer)
  • pen or pencil

Warm-Up:

How can I interpret and integrate information that I learn from a video?

Learning Target copy Learning Target: Students will be able to make efficient use of their time as they pick a topic and identify sources for writing an informative essay.

  • Intro. Performance Task B, p. 67
  • Organizational Overview: Focus questions + introduction + conclusion
  • Plan: Determine Your Topic and Identify sources you will use to do your research
  • Identifying Relevant Sources: Textbook and FYI site

Homework:

  1. Read 20 pages (or more) in a chapter book of your choice and log:
    1. Title
    2. Pg. ___ to ___
    3. Two sentences about your reading
    4. Parent signature
  2. Be sure you have chosen a phobia and listed the sources you will use for your research.
