Friday 4/13/18 – Language Arts

Good Morning, Class!

Please take out:

  • Chromebook
  • all other electronics

Warm-Up:

  • Read each text and decide which informational text structure the author used.

Per. 1 (8:15-9:09)

  • How reading informational texts will be measured on SBAC
  • Move backpacks, etc. to take Read Informational Texts IAB

Per. 2 (9:12-10:00)

  • Go over Read Informational Texts IAB
  • California Career Zone
    • Complete Interest Profile (choose 30, 60 or 180 question version) and begin exploring career section

Homework:

  1. Read 30+ pages and log on Biblionasium:
    1. Book title
    2. Page #s you read (p. ____ to p. ____)
    3. Big Thing that Happened (1-2 sentences: Who? What? When? Where?) + 1 question, prediction, inference, connection, visualization, or new word and how you guessed its meaning

Per. 3 (10:03-10:51) – Creative Writing

Please take out:

  • Chromebook
