  • Warm-Up 8.1: Back on the Treadmill Again
    • 3 minutes quiet think time
    • partner, then class discussion:
      • How many different ways can we solve this problem?
      • How are speed and pace different?
  • Activity 8.2: Picnics on the Rail Trail
    • What is a Rail Trail? What is the closest one?
    • Scenario: What do you notice? What do you wonder?
    • 4 minutes quiet work time on #1 & 2
    • 2 minutes to discuss approaches with partner

    • 8 minutes groupwork on #3-5
    • Class discussion
  • Activity 8.3: Swimming and Baking (Extend/Extra Credit)
  • Cool-Down 8.4: Penguin Speed
