Friday 4/19/19 – Language Arts

Good Morning, Class!

Please come in quietly and take out:

  • Chromebook

Per. 1 (8:15-9:09)

  • Choose plays
  • Read through
  • Rehearse with group

Per. 2 (9:12-10:00)

  • Perform plays

Open “The Mission” assignment and text in Classroom

  • First Read “Could You Be a Mars Colonist?”
  • Re-read to answer Critical Thinking questions in table groups
  • Extend Options

 

Homework:

  1. Read 30+ pages and log on Biblionasium:
    1. Title
    2. p. ____ to p. ____
    3. Big Thing that Happened (1-2 sentences: Who? What? When? Where?) + 1 question, prediction, inference, connection, visualization, or new word and how you guessed its meaning
  2. Exercise, sleep, and charge Chromebook for Monday’s ELA Performance Task!

Per. 3 (10:03-10:51) – Creative Writing

Please come in quietly and take out:

Open Digital Storytelling Project doc on Classroom

  • Script Your Story: Audio & Visuals
  • Workshop Time: Create new project in WeVideo, bring in images, video, sound clips, etc. (Can create new folder in Drive to save downloads and then import into WeVideo.)
  • Record story/voice-over/sound effects in a quiet place this weekend!
