Friday 9/6/19 – Math

Welcome to Math!

Please come in quietly, sit, and take out:

  • IM 7.2 packet (stack in center of table)
  • any late work (Mathography, IM 7.1)
  • pencil

Building a Mathematical Mindset

View video and discuss:

  1. What is “brain crossing”?
  2. Why is it important to use or create visuals in math?
  3. What is your reaction to this video? (thoughts, feelings)

Learning Target: Students will be able to use inequalities to compare positive and negative numbers and explain how to use the positions of numbers on a number line to compare them.

Homework:

  1. Complete 7.3 packet including Cool-Down and Practice Problems (1-4). (Are You Ready for More? section is Extra Credit.)
