Monday 10/14/19 – Language Arts

Good Morning, Class!

Please come in quietly, and listen for your new seat.

Then take out:

  • agenda
  • Chromebook
  • earbuds / headphones

Write Homework in Agenda:

  1. Read 20+ pages and log on Biblionasium:
    1. Title/author
    2. p. ____ to p. ____
    3. Big Thing that Happened (2-3 sentences: Who? What? When/Where? How? Why?) + 1 prior knowledge, question, prediction, inference, connection, or word you figured out using syntax/etymology/context clues
  2. The Road Not Taken: ACE Think 1-3.
  3. Finish late assignments on StudySync (I Never Had it Made).
  4. Charge Chromebook.

Per. 1 (8:15-9:05)

On Classroom, open ReadWorks Article-a-Day directions.

  • Follow directions and be prepared to share in 10 minutes.

Learning Target: Students will be able to acquire and use academic words and phrases.

On StudySync, open Academic Vocab Lesson 2

  • Complete Vocab tab (use notes on lesson slides as needed)

On StudySync, open I Never Had it Made assignment

  • Finish Write paragraph
  • Do Vocab / Think if you finish early
  • (If on dashboard): Redo Your Turn questions on Informational Text Structure – I Never Had it Made
