Wednesday 1/15/20 – Language Arts

Good Morning, Class!

Please come in quietly, sit, and take out:

  • Facing Challenges book
  • agenda
  • Chromebook

Write Homework in Agenda:

  1. Read 25+ pages in ____ and log on Biblionasium:
    1. Title/author
    1. p. ____ to p. ____
    2. Big Thing that Happened (2-3 sentences: Who? What? When/Where? How? Why?) + 1 prior knowledge, question, prediction, inference, connection, or word you figured out using syntax/etymology/context clues
  2. Finish Story Structure (Your Turn) on StudySync.
  3. Finish all late work on StudySync and Classroom.
  4. Charge Chromebook!

Per. 2 (8:15-9:29) – Language Arts

On Classroom, open ReadWorks and do Article-a-Day.

  • Define: Read paragraph and view video
    • Discuss Scaffold tab
  • Model: View video and discuss Scaffold tab
    • Read and annotate and discuss Scaffold tab

On Classroom, open Roll of Thunder Roller Coaster Map

  • Write: Use Focus Questions to find details for boxes on Roller Coaster map, but answer questions on StudySync.
  • Your Turn
