Per. 1 (8:15-9:05) – Language Arts
Learning Target: Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of an informative/explanatory writing prompt by generating ideas and information and creating a thesis statement.
Open EWP – Prewrite Organizer on Classroom
- Share your three people on Padlet wall
- Model organizer (refer back to Turning Points Unit Matrix and texts)
- Gather ideas for Person 1, 2, and 3
- Identify patterns (similarities, differences) between your three individuals

Learning Target: Students will be able to use research, interviewing, planning, speaking, and listening skills to interview a family member for the Great Thanksgiving Listen.
