Per. 1 (8:15-9:05) – Language Arts

Group 1: (on SS) Finish Rosa/Claudette essay (on Close Read: FW), Connecting Ideas, Revise essay

Group 2: Finish Sojourner Truth/Speech assignments (+ peer reviews on first one), Rosa/Claudette essay, FW Ch. 3: Rosa Parks

  • Intro: Read together
  • Read: Choose one partner to be the narrator/Teen Vogue interviewer and the other to be Claudette Colvin
  • Comp: This is a quiz
  • Write: Evidence will come from Freedom Walkers Ch. 2 and from your own experience and knowledge

Homework:

  1. Read 25+ pages and log on Biblionasium:
    1. Title/author
    2. p. ____ to p. ____
    3. BTH (1-2 sentences: Who? What? When? Where?) + 1 visualization, thick question, use of context clues, or inference
  2. Finish all assignments on StudySync.
  3. Academic Vocab Lesson 6 (due Fri. 1/18)

Per. 3 (10:01-10:49) – Speech & Debate

What is a Commercial Script?

  • In teams, open Commercial Requirements from yesterday and Commercial Script planning doc
  • Once you have fully brainstormed your product or service/organization, start writing your team’s script.
  • Highlight your parts of the script.
