Wednesday 4/15/20 – Language Arts
Good Morning, Class!
Today’s Zoom at Noon will focus on the EWP. This is for anyone who has not completed the draft, revisions, or editing the essay. (Zoom link and password are in Calendar and Classroom!)
This is the final week of the Our Heroes unit. Next week we will begin a new unit in StudySync.
1. Academic Vocab:
Learning Target: Students will be able to acquire and use academic words and phrases.
On Classroom, open Academic Vocab L9 (Reference and Student slides)
- Do the following three words today:
- transmit
- vacant
- vacuum
- Have sentences ready to share on today’s Zoom at Noon
2. On Classroom, open Daily Check-in / Our Heroes Unit Checklist assignment:
- MUST DO assignments (Do Reading & EWP assignments IN ORDER) If the assignment is already graded in PowerSchool, you will need to click “GRADE” (here on the blog –>) and complete the Form to let me know you want me to grade it.
- MAY DO assignments (only for when you have completed ALL of the Must Do assignments): See next steps for Superhero Infographic below.
3. Reading Log (5+ days a week): Do on Biblionasium as usual. Turn in reminder on Classroom once you have finished.

1. Children’s March
Learning Target: Students will be able to interpret information presented in diverse media and formats (e.g., visually, quantitatively, orally) and explain how it contributes to a topic, text, or issue under study.
On Classroom, open The Children’s March assignment.
